The Paula Deen Gift Store - Retail Space Renovation

E-mail Print PDF

The Paula Deen Store was an excellent opportunity for Commonwealth Construction to showcase our ability and flexibility in managing the varied demands of restoring a historic building. Deemed structurally unsound, the building had to be completely gutted, leaving nothing but the brick shell. A new floor system was installed and on this new structure all the detailed work was meticulously finished, from the recycled antique heart pine floors to the brand new lighting scheme. Our work also improved our relationship with Paula Deen and both of her sons, who not only are very pleased with the results, but have requested that Commonwealth Construction would do more restoration work on the Lady and Sons restaurant next door and other buildings owned by them.
